Snoozing in the Park
8:00 p.m.
I forgot to mention yesterday: it's VERY hot here. Heh. Toronto is under an 'Extreme Heat Advisory.' The high was 33C with a humidex of 37C (91F, humidex 98F). If you're south of the border, you're laughing right now and it *is* pretty funny. But folks up here don't understand how much worse heat can get (try 98F with 100% humidity for example. Try digging shovel test pits on such a day. Ug. My friend Kerry is nodding...). For Toronto though, this is pretty hot.
Needless to say, Dusty and I haven't been doing much for the past few days and I've felt weirdly unproductive. We've stayed inside a lot. Dusty naps and I work on the computer. In the evening, we burst out into the cooling air and play in the small dog park with our friends. Tonight, we were there for an hour and a half.
We did a bit of training, but not much, actually. I can't expect my pup to run around the park when it's hot and her coat is long (I need to get her clipped).
