Hot dog!
11:00 a.m.
Dusty is feeling better this morning. The swollen lump on her abdomen is small again and the area isn't red. I fed her dinner last night and she had a normal bowel movement this morning. She's not vomiting at all.
Grandma (my mom) suggested that the marrow bone I gave Dusty a few days ago may have had something to do with this episode. Apparently, marrow bones are very fatty. As much as Dusty loved it, I think that will be her last one.
The jury is still out on raw-bones. She loves them so much, but I don't want her to get sick. We may have to stick with Nylabones for awhile.
9:00 p.m.
We had a quiet day, lots of rest and crate time. In the evening, we went on a nice long walk and Dusty played in the small dog park with some medium sized dogs. She seems to be feeling much better.
We worked on some training today - walking on the right-hand-side and running on both the left and right sides while on leash (without switching sides at all). Pretty good. Her 'downs' are once again very solid (funny how this varies) and I reviewed a trick, 'roll over' - she's almost forgotten this one already.
