8:30 p.m.
Rainy day, which was perfect for me, since I was up to my ears in books and CDs and miscellaneous 'stuff.' Not so perfect for Dusty, who doesn't like the rain. We dashed outside between showers, but she still didn't get very much park time in.
She was a very good dog, though. With all sorts of things laying on the floor, she carefully picked through the mess and found her own toys to chew on.
She is really enjoying that IQube - I'm kicking myself for not getting it out sooner (it's been in a cabinet for the past few months). She can't get enough of it. Hours of fun, not in the ways you would expect, either. One of the balls from the cube went under the bed. I couldn't figure out what she was doing under there, and scolded her. But sure enough, I reached under and found a ball. I'm finding balls everywhere now!
One other new thing: Dusty has started playing ball with me in the park. I've never been able to get her to retrieve outside, but yesterday we played ball for about 15 minutes. It's great exercise for her if there are no other dogs around for her to play with. She wasn't retrieving as much today, but I'm going to continue working on it.
