Moving?

Sleepy, clipped puppy.

5:00 p.m.
Looks like Dusty and I may have found a new place to live - we went apartment hunting today.

For those of you not in the know, we experienced our third flooding incident in six months last week. A leak developed in the pipes above the storage room, neatly making mush out of a variety of items I had intended to sell in a yard sale this summer.

Last fall, a leak developed in my upstairs neighbour's fridge and the ceiling over my bed caved in. For a month, all of my furniture was stacked up on one side of my apartment and my life was in chaos. This summer, as usual, the kitchen has been flooding on a semi-regular basis.

I'm getting pretty frustrated with it and I'm concerned about my health and Dusty's health (mold isn't good for dogs). So we looked at a few places - no dice.

But I had a 'feeling' about one building in particular, talked to a manager and found out that a suitable apartment had *just* become available for September. As we checked out the building, we ran into Dusty's buddy Clancy, who lives there! And if that wasn't enough of a sign, the view from the balcony is fantabulous!

I'm going to sleep on it tonight, but will probably put down the deposit tomorrow (and I'll share all the relevant details then...).
