This is what Dusty looks like after a day of play.
8:00 p.m.
Today was very parky. We went to the park in the morning, we went to High Park in the afternoon, then we went to the small dog park in the evening. Dusty is thoroughly pooped, though she did have a lot of fun.
Seems many people had the same idea we did - the small dog park was packed with smallish canines! Someone commented that it looked like a doggy daycare. I was able to visit with the baby schnauzer for the first time in a few weeks - she's grown! Gosh, she's cute. Almost, but not quite cute enough to persuade me that I need another puppy. Nope, I think I like sleeping through the night and I have my hands full training my own pup.
She's doing well with her 'homework.' Today, she walked comfortably at my right side for long durations. I took the clicker and the metropass cover to High Park with us, so we could practise contacts. I placed the metropass cover on the plank (it would have been too far to reach if I'd placed it on the ground) and asked Dusty to touch it ('spot!') before she jumped off the plank. It went well. She's getting really good at this! We also practised on the raised platform that sort of resembles the 'table.'
The weather is just fantastic! I can't believe how pleasant it is outside - sunny, not-too-hot-but-warm-enough and blue sky...
