Taking lots of naps!
9:00 p.m.
Today wasn't very exciting at all, especially for dog stuff. I was doing a lot of work at my desk, and Dusty snoozed. When she wasn't snoozing, she was politely playing with her toys and chewing. She's been very angelic lately - indoors at least (outdoors, it's a whole other story).
We went out for three walks today, two of them involved playtime with other dogs in the park. I'm starting to realise how unique and wonderful it is that my pup loves to play with other dogs. Two of the dogs in our puppy class are not keen on playtime.
Of course, Dusty's attention was definitely split. There were dogs to play with, but there was also a whole universe of dead stuff to find and put in her mouth. We're talking high-quality dead stuff too! Like pine needles, half-decomposed pine cones and old, dried-up goose shit. Dusty probably thinks her middle name is "drop it!" because I follow her around saying "Dusty drop it!"
To her credit, she usually does (though I can tell how much it pains her to have to part with the wonderful crumbly goose turd she had just picked up).
