Transportation
Dusty rode on the subway yesterday without the Sherpa bag.
This means that she walked on and off of the train herself!
She also rode in a car. Fun.
10:00 a.m.
Dusty wasn't feeling well last night. After a few hours of tossing and turning (she rolled over, woke me up, I turned over, woke her up), I finally put her in the crate to sleep.
I slept really well after that, but Dusty didn't. She continued turning and then, literally, tossing: she threw up. Poor puppy. The offending substance appears to be little tree buds that she was eating off the ground yesterday. And I'm still finding pillow fluff in her poo. *sigh* Puppies are just SO much fun in the spring!
Today: very warm weather, with highs up to 19C (70F)
Tomorrow: very, VERY warm weather, with highs up to 27C (81F)
And the next day? It will get all the way up to 6C (43F)
Talk about wonky weather!!!
6:00 p.m.
My poor pup is a bit under the weather. She seemed a bit sluggish this morning so I let her sleep. I thought it would do her good to get out to High Park in the afternoon.
She really enjoyed herself, though she wasn't quite as frenetic as usual. She ran out of steam quickly. Finally, I sat down in the middle of the woods and leaned against a tree. She crawled into my lap.
We stayed like that for a long time, listening to the wind in the trees and the roar of distant city traffic. It's a bit strange to be in the woods and hear that roar when everything you see around you would indicate that the world should be silent.
As we walked back, she stopped several times on the trail and I called her to me. Finally, she sat down and wouldn't budge. I had to pick her up for awhile. She got her second wind and played for awhile longer, but I could tell how exhausted she was.
She's sleeping blissfully in my lap right now and will have a quiet evening to herself. My hockey finals are tonight and me and my teammates are going to the pub afterward.
Sheesh. I hope she's okay!
