:: THE DOG DAYS OF WINTER ::

Cold, Cold, Cold

A lazy day and a lazy evening. Sometimes she watches T.V., but mostly she just sleeps.

10:00 p.m.
I can't believe how cold it is here and how much snow is on the ground. Tonight, the windchill will be -27. We're breaking records all over the place in this town.

I went for a walk today and passed a park I used to go to a lot over the summer. There was so much accumulated snow from the past two weeks that the picnic tables were nearly completely buried.

Needless to say, Dusty and I haven't gone out much - even to the dog park. I'm fed up with this cold and frustrated because there's literally nothing I can do about it.

I know Dusty's socialization is suffering because she's in the house so much, but I don't feel motivated to carry her down to Bloor Street so she can see people. When the weather warms, I'm going to hang out in the park with her a lot.

Her other training is going well. She's learned a few new things - 'spin,' 'crawl,' and a longer 'stay.' I'm getting a bit bored with the training routine and I think she is too. I guess I should dive into the training books and find some new skills for us to learn.
