Soft, silky puppy fur. Enjoy it while it lasts...

A 'Housekeeping' Item:
The Scrapbook page - which I've been woefully behind on - has been updated. There are scrapbooks available through Week 14. You'll find some of the 'daily' photos in here, but also a tonne of other photos I take each week.

The big news of today is Dusty's first 'chewing accident.' I'm really careful to keep anything that's even remotely interesting to her teeth off the floor. As a result, Dusty thinks that any object that's on the floor is a wonderful new toy.

This morning, a knob fell off of my Dutch teak desk and Dusty discovered it. She was happily chewing away in the kitchen when I found her. I didn't make a fuss - just gave her one of her own chew toys and retrieved the wooden knob. Her sharp little teeth really did a number on it!

Given the option, she'll chew on her own toys - she hasn't yet chewed on furniture or anything else. Hopefully, this is a one-time incident. I can't help but wonder if she knew that the knobs 'toy status' was questionable. She usually only hides in the kitchen when she's up to no good.

And finally, a note on the title of today's post: the low temperature tonight will be -25 with a -37 windchill. And it's March - yikes!
