Stair Star

She can't jumped up on the papasan chair yet,
but it's only a matter of time...

10:00 p.m.
I've been very busy lately, because I'm taking some courses. Dusty has been alone, in the crate for up to 4-and-a-half hours during the day. She's done very well - I don't think she's crying at all while I'm gone.

When I return, she is nearly hysterical with joy and very insistent to go outside. I *know* her bladder is larger than that, so I'm not sure what the fuss is all about. I think she just gets lonely and wants to make sure the world is still there.

Dusty's quickly becoming a hotshot on those stairs. She doesn't particularly like the basement stairs, but goes up and down them nonetheless. When she's going down, she sort of grumbles to herself, so I hear this sound - something like "yelp...thunk, thunk...squeak...thunk, thunk...yelp...thunk, thunk...."

She's getting brave though. Upstairs, there's a carpeted flight that ends with three very wide steps. These were her training steps. She likes to climb up them, then *leap* from the top step. She'll do this over and over and over again!
