Crate Time

Okay, Mom - I'm coming! I'm coming!

10:00 p.m.
Lots of crate time today.

This morning, Dusty was in the crate for three-and-a-half hours while I was at an appointment. She was so good! No accidents. She chewed on her chew-toys and slept. When I returned, she was ecstatic to see me (this has to be the best part about having a dog - they're so happy when you come home).

She's such a quiet, polite little dog. Of course, she's a puppy and gets into that 'puppy mode' every so often - usually in the evening right before bedtime. Tonight, she was racing around the apartment, leaping on her toys and me!

I've taught her a new trick, 'go to your spot.' When I give that command, she marches into the crate like a little soldier (then, looks for her treat). She almost always goes to sleep without fuss.
