A Dog Owner and Her Money...

6:30 p.m.

A dog owner and her money...are soon parted.

I went to PetSmart today.

Specifically, I went to PetSmart to buy a clicker (a training aid) that cost exactly $2.00. I walked out with over a hundred dollars worth of merchandise. It was all stuff I needed, but it never fails to amaze me how that place sucks away my money like some kind of retail black hole. It's almost as bad as Canadian Tire that way.

So. I stocked up on Liver Treats, bought the forementioned 'clicker,' and though I managed to steer clear of the chew toys this time, I did cave in and buy Dusty a new plush toy, which she LOVES. (a teddy bear)

My mother had mentioned that I should buy a smaller dog carrier for use on the subway, etc. I was trying to avoid it, but my recent TTC excursions have made me realise that my converted gardening bag is only a temporary solution, so I bought a medium-sized Sherpa Bag.

Dusty spent two hours on trains and buses today and she was fine. By the time we headed back, she was totally bored with the whole thing and mostly slept through it.

She's well on her way to becoming a genuine little hellion. It's incredible how quickly and quietly she can move out of my range of sight - *especially* when she wants to get into trouble.
