There's no rest for the weary.
9:00 p.m.
Now that I have homework to do, some very ordinary activities have taken on a whole new attraction. Like housework. Like sweeping the floor. And especially walking the dog.
This afternoon, we took a three hour walk. Yes, that's 'three hours.' We walked down to Bloor. Our favourite ice cream guy wasn't there so we walked to the hardware store. They didn't have what I needed, but that's okay because we walked down to the other ice cream truck. Then we walked back to our neighbourhood and around our neighbourhood then back to the Small Dog Park.
And we parked ourselves there for another two hours, just because. Because it was a beautiful day. Because beautiful days will soon be in short supply. Because we were having fun. Because Dusty was busy playing. (Because I probably had some homework I should have been doing).
But the evenings have been getting cooler lately and I didn't bring a jacket, so we headed home around 7 p.m. Dusty is more exhausted than I've seen her in a long time. She's done nothing buy sleep since we got back.
