Do-it-yourself Dusty
8:00 p.m.
I knew it would happen eventually, even though I've been keeping a very low profile. This morning, we were riding the elevator down to the lobby and it stopped on the 8th floor. On walked our building manager. She looked at me, said 'hello' and then looked at Dusty. "Hello Pooch."
I quickly flashed the handsignals for 'stay' and 'quiet.' Thankfully, Dusty did both of these things. She lay quietly at my feet gazing up at us calmly. The building manager asked how old Dusty was and when I told her, she said: "She's really calm." Yay.
So at least that's out of the way now. I'm glad that Dusty was on her best behaviour. I know that they can't kick me out because I have a dog, but it doesn't hurt to make a good impression.
Dusty went on a bit of an outing today. I took her up to Home Depot. She loved the long ride on the streetcar and enjoyed walking through the store with me. I didn't have a lot of shopping to do, but we walked around the entire store just for the fun of it.
