A New Cratetime

10:00 p.m.
Lots of crate time today, as I was out running errands for much of the day. Dusty cried a whole lot when I first left her alone in the new apartment, but she seems to have settled down quite a bit. She doesn't cry anymore (at least, I haven't caught her in the act.

I figured that I had to demonstrate to her that even though this is a new place, I *do* always come back when I leave. So we practised. I would leave for a few minutes, then come back. I would leave for a few minutes more, then come back, and so on and so on.

I think it's had the intended effect. Hopefully, she's accepted this as our new home and isn't finding her crate time too traumatic.
