:: THE DOG DAYS OF WINTER ::

Rain, rain go away

I brought the papasan cushion in because of the rain.
Dusty decided to make it her bed.

8:30 p.m.
It rained all day. It was raining lightly in the morning, but by noon it was pouring.

Dusty stood at the apartment door, clearly keen to go out. So I put on my boots and my raincoat and took her downstairs.

As soon as we walked out on the sidewalk, she took off confidently, headed for the grass. The rain poured down in sheets. The wind was very strong. (In fact, today's storm was far worse than 'Isabel'). Every time a good-sized gust hit her, she shook her head in confusion. Soon, she was stopping to shake every few steps. Her ears went back. She looked up at me, confusion in her eyes.

Then, she turned on tail and headed directly back to the building, dragging me along behind her.
