The Running Dog

I made an amazing and fun discovery today as I was taking Dusty for her evening walk: she likes to run. I tried jogging around the neighbourhood a bit and she was delighted. She alternately loped and jogged too. And when we got to the park, she wanted to play with me. We played chase for almost 20 minutes.

I never tried this before because Dusty's bones were not well-developed (puppies can't take excessive running and jumping until they're about a year old).

So, starting tomorrow, Dusty and I are beginning a new exercise programme. Don't worry, I'll be going slowly - for myself as much as for her. I haven't run in amost a year. This will be fun - we can run a little bit, walk a little bit and play a lot!
