Fuzzy Face
1:30 p.m.
Finally, the sun came out today! Unfortunately, winter also came out - it's cold and windy. It's 3 degrees, but there's a windchill.
After two days of rain, Dusty was REALLY ready to go out this morning. She hasn't been very happy with the rain - and as a result, she's been 'holding it.' This morning, she very nearly had an accident in the hallway and I was barely able to get her outside in time.
Once we got that out of the way, though, she was just thrilled to be outside in the sunshine. There was a bit of snow on the ground and she just loves the snow, so she had a great time playing.
It's fun to have a weekend to be out and about in the neighbourhood. I'm thinking of taking Dusty to High Park if it warms up.
8:00 p.m.
I didn't take Dusty to High Park, but shortly after I wrote that entry, I took her out to the neighbourhood park and ran into a friend and his dog. We ended up hanging out for most of the afternoon talking while our dogs played. It was nice outside, but still a bit chilly, so we went inside the lobby of my building for awhile.
The movie people left behind a nice, new, high quality carpet. It's made the lobby a much nicer place for the dogs to play, since it cushions their wrestling matches. It also makes things a bit quieter, as it deadens the noise.
After that, I ran a few errands and as I was walking home, I ran into a couple I'm friends with and their two little dogs! So we agreed to meet in the small dog park a short time later. I'm glad they were there, because it was a really light turn-out at the park.
After a day of play, Dusty is now completely exhausted! She's been asleep under her blanket for the good part of an hour and hasn't moved!
