On the red carpet at Hummingbird Centre.
4:30 p.m.
Dusty and I went down to the gallery for the last time, to see our friends and say good-bye. Dusty watched with interest as I took apart her 'work crate' and got ready to take it home. I don't think she really understood, but she was more than happy to run around freely as I chatted with the people at the chocolate shop and said good-bye to my co-workers.
I know there are things that she will miss. She loves runing pell-mell around the cobblestone streets. And playing with her dog buddies, Cuan and Chinook. And seeing all of her human buddies too.
For fun, we walked up to the subway station, through the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood. Dusty enjoyed sniffing around and exploring and by the time we got to Union Station, she was cold and exhausted. I guess her sweater wasn't quite warm enough. She napped all afternoon, but I'm hoping that she wakes up in time to go to the dogpark.
