Resting after a day of fun
10:30 p.m.
It was very warm outside today. Respite didn't come until just minutes ago, when thunderstorms started moving through the area. The cool breeze coming in through my window is wonderful. Most of the noise didn't phase Dusty - that is, until a HUGE boom erupted and the I swear I felt the ground shake too. Every since that boom, Dusty has been huddled in my lap with her face hidden in the crook of my arm. Cute, but it makes it hard to type.
We had a fun day. After a play session with the partially reconvened Small Dog Posse (The pug is back, the havanese is still sleeping in and, of course, the chihuahuas moved to a new neighbourhood), I ran some errands. There was a VERY short noonday walk in the heat.
In the evening, we went to the Small Dog Park and then (after supper) we headed to High Park. The sun had already gone down, so it wasn't as hot, but the walk back to the subway was a bit creepy, as the woods were getting dark.
Dusty had a breakthrough on the escalator today - she still won't get on the escalator herself, but if I put her down once we're on it, she stands patiently and gets off herself. Yay!
