6:00 p.m.
Well, she's nothing if not very polite. Today, I was watching The West Wing (I taped the episode last week because I was at a study group) and I decided to sit on the floor. Dusty came over to see what I was up to, then laid her chin on my knee.
She would wander off, then come back and poke me with her nose, then wander off again, only to come back and lay her head on my shoulder. Then, she just sat there and pawed at me. I couldn't figure out what she wanted.
Finally, I scooped her up and put her on my lap. Keep in mind, my lap was *on* the floor already, so I didn't knee to help her up, really. As soon as she was there, she stretched out and went to sleep.
I know that I've taught her that she's not allowed to get up on the futon without permission, but I didn't think she would apply this rule to my lap!
