This was a big crate day for Dusty. She was crated from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and then from 4:00 until 10:00 p.m. - four hours, then six hours. This is a bit more than the time she would be crated during an ordinary workday (presuming I come home to walk her). She did fine. She slept, didn't even mess up her bed in protest like she usually does.
Perhaps it's the season (cooler weather, winter, etc) or her age, but I've noticed that Dusty sleeps a LOT during the day. The evenings are her more active times.
